The field of low-cost printable precursor-based CIGS-cells is a new and emerging field which needs to be addressed both from the technological and the scientific point of view. Major contributions to these issues are expected from this present PhD thesis. All kinds of analytical tools like SIMS, XRD, SEM, RFA, AFM and Raman spectroscopy will be used in order to investigate the structural and compositional properties of the prepared layers. To examine the homogeneity of the deposited films and detect defects within the layer there is also the possibility to utilise EBIC and/or LBIC.
