Goal of my project is the development of tunable organic lasers with a large bandwidth in the visible wavelength range. These lasers will be based on the concepts of photonic crystals and will be evaluated regarding optical parameters, different pumping schemes and their development in larger scales. After successful realisation of such lasers, the implementation on a Lab-on-Chip-system for biological, chemical and medical fluid analysis is planned.
The project is embedded in a Young Investigator Group (YIG) and benefits from a close cooperation between the Light Technology Institute (LTI) and the Institute for Microstructure Technology (IMT).
