For an admission to the M.Sc. in Optics & Photonics, the following requirements are necessary:
- Appropriate qualification for university entrance ( e.g. Abitur, High School Diploma, Baccalauréat)
- Above average Bachelor degree or an equivalent degree in the field of natural sciences or engineering. This includes optics and photonics, physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biology, mathematics, information technology and medical sciences. The examination board can decide on the permission of other study courses.
- If the bachelor degree is not yet available at the closing date for applications but will be completed before registration, candidates can apply with a preliminary transcript of records.
- Evidence of an adequate knowledge of the English language is required. This can be in the form of TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language), Cambridge Certificate, IELTS or an equivalent confirmation.
Highly qualified applicants with an above average Master degree in the fields of natural sciences or engineering with a main focus on optics and photonics can be admitted to the elite Ph.D. Program ”Optics and Photonics”. Open Ph.D. projects can be found in the four Research Areas
