The International Department is unique – It is part of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), yet, at the same time, it is an independent body. The International Department and the KIT have created a matrix-like organisational structure, which helps to ensure that the students of the International Department have the opportunity to have close working-relationships with exceptional German and international high-tech companies and numerous distinguished research institutes throughout the region.  The International Department offers the first complete degree program for English-speaking students from throughout the world.

Currently, the International Department offers the seven following English-taught degree programs:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Mechanical Engineering

      

• Master in Green Mobility Engineering (GME)
• Master in Production and Operations Management (POM)
• Master in Management of Product Development (MPD)
• Master in Embedded Electronic Systems Engineering (ESE)
• Master in Service Management and Engineering (SME)
• Master in Financial Engineering (FE)
